Historic First African Pride Canvas Sneakers

The African Pride canvas sneaker was made to honor Black leaders and Black history. Its red, black and green comes from the Pan-African flag that Marcus Garvey's Universal Negro Improvement Association adopted in 1920, a symbol that has always stood for African people running African communities.

Nagast Footwear, a Black-owned sneaker company, released the Historic First African Pride sneaker in 2015. Founder Tarik Edmonson came up with the idea in 2014, when he saw the big sneaker brands and thought a shoe in red, black and green would make an impact. It's a collector's item from that moment.

Sizing note: the default sizes are men's sizes. If you wear women's sizes, order two sizes down. For example, a women's 8 should order a size 6.
